A PRINTING workshop will be taught by an award-winning artist in Rotherham next month (April).
The relief printing workshop Against the Grain will be held by artist and printmaker Adrian Barron in the town’s ROAR Artspace at Westgate Chambers on Westgate.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 13, from 10am to 4pm.
Mr Barron will teach attendees how make relief prints from a variety of materials, using an assortment of tools to cut and design images.
These images will then be printed onto paper to create a unique print.
Mr Barron has been making prints for more than 30 years and has taught at many colleges and universities. He currently teaches at the Working Men’s College in London.
Students will be required to bring a selection of images, such as photographs or pictures from magazines/books, and these will be used as the starting point for their creations.
Participants will be working with oil-based ink and so should wear appropriate clothing.
The price for the whole day will be £35, which will cover the teaching and equipment.
Budding attendees can book online at https://tinyurl.com/y4nk44k6 or via the ROAR office on 01709 835747.
