AN ARTIST will be urging members of the public to help her make an interactive textile creation to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Toni Buckby and Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance (ROAR) will be working with people to create the textile piece at the indoor market in Rotherham town centre from Monday, March 4, to Friday, March 8, between 10am and 3pm.
LOOM will involve people weaving yarns, threads, wire, LEDs, displays, speakers and touch sensitive components into a large woven fabric.
On Thursday, March 7, there will be two short workshops, from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm weaving small touch sensitive pieces using mini frame looms designed by Toni Buckby as part of The Interlace Project.
To book a place on the workshops, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
International Women’s Day is on Friday, March 8.
