ARTIST Jamie Wilkinson had another brush with fame after putting former Rotherham ref Howard Webb in the picture.
The Brinsworth painter added Howard, whose parents hail from the same part of town, to the list of famous faces he has committed to canvas.
World Cup ref Howard followed in the footsteps of Sir Alex Ferguson, Ally McCoist and Gordon Strachan and was more than happy to sign the finished product when the pair met up.
School lab technician Jamie said: “Howard kindly wrote me a cheque while I was with him for the Special Care Baby Unit at Rotherham hospital and said he was also keen on helping me meet some more familiar faces.”
Jamie’s big-hearted charity efforts have also included presenting a copy of a painting called “always in my heART” to the Special Care Baby Unit.
He produced it in memory of his nephew Freddie and in tribute to the unit’s efforts in caring for Freddie’s brother Ollie.
“We thought it was only right to give them something back for their hard work which we really appreciated,” he said.
“Me and the family have been selling prints of this artwork and managed to raise £710.”
