ON-stage stars are being sought by a holiday company hoping to top its bill with a new crop of talent this summer.
Haven holiday parks have proved a career launch pad for the likes of Duncan from Blue, Steve Mulhern, Shane Ritchie, Bradley Walsh, Bobby Davro and Lisa Scott-Lee.
Now the firm is appealing to multi-talented young adults from Rotherham to audition to become part of their team.
Steve Donnelly, head of entertainment for Haven, said: “We want dynamic young cast members who can, aside from performing, interact meaningfully with our guests.”
Auditions will take place at The Corner Space, Greasbrough Road, on January 9 from 9.30am.
Hopefuls auditioning to be singer are asked to prepare one of the three pre set songs which can be found on the Funstar website.
Dancers are taught a short routine at the audition and presenters are asked to prepare an evening entertainment concept, while events casts are asked to take part in an improvisation session.
Alexandra Hans, the owner of Corner Space and star of this year’s Rotherham Civic panto said: “It’s a great opportunity for the people of Rotherham, because auditions like this don’t normally come to the north.
“It means that anyone up here who wants to come along can do so without having to travel to London.
“With all of the great performance schools that are around in Rotherham and the surrounding areas, it is great to give people the opportunity to audition for such exciting performance jobs.
“It is also great for Corner Space as the different auditions that will be happening will show just what a versatile space it is.”
Working contracts for successful applicants will start as early as February.
