Today Napoleons Casino & Restaurant at Owlerton in Sheffield will officially cut the ribbon & unveil its new facilities following a £2 million refurbishment & extension which has been taking place over the last 6 months.
There has been a buzz of excitement around the substantial investment as it brings not only a new restaurant, new bar, new lounge area and extended gaming floor, but also the first outdoor gaming terrace outside of London.
Part of the A&S Leisure Group, which last year celebrated 45 years of business in Yorkshire, Napoleons has a long-standing reputation within the city’s nightlife scene. Chief Executive Mark Allen believes the key to the success of this is always moving forward and adapting, he commented:
“We’ve been at our Owlerton site for nearly 20 years now and after implementing many improvements over this time we felt now was the time to make the investment in drastically improving the facilities at Owlerton. By popular demand it was clear that we needed a bigger restaurant and bar area, and lounge where customers could relax and enjoy a drink. My personal highlight however is our new outdoor gaming terrace; it’s a very exciting addition to our casino and currently the only one of its kind outside of London – a Yorkshire ‘first’ we are very proud of.”
Allen continued: “We’ve been in this business for over 45 years and I believe the key to success is maintaining your true ethos whilst constantly improving & moving forward with the times. We like to keep a traditional feel to Napoleons with a personal experience; however we are always looking at ways we can improve. Our substantial investment in the new facilities at Owlerton has made the venue bigger, better & bolder than ever before, ensuring the customer experience is second to none. We’re excited to now show case our improvements to our existing and new customers.”
Napoleons have Access Architecture, headed up by James Murray in Elloughton, to thank for project managing the development and for maintaining the luxurious & traditional flow and design of the venue. Other key contractors on the project include Sheffield firms T&C Williams, Carr Lynch Partnership and Escafeld Mechanical Partnership.
