Shopping centre teams up with Sheffield Wednesday for summer soccer sessions
Aspiring young footballers can enjoy a series of special Meadowhall Soccer Sessions in association with Sheffield Wednesday Football Club kicking off on Tuesday August 19.
Hosted by the club’s charitable arm, the Community Programme, the free-of-charge sessions will offer budding young soccer stars access to the expertise of fully-qualified SWFC coaches, and the opportunity to get noticed and progress to the club’s development centre.
All youngsters aged between five and 14 years are invited to the Centre from Tuesday 19th to Friday 22nd August from 10am -3pm to learn valuable football skills before team selection begins when the schools return in September and get involved in a game or two on the giant inflatable pitch, located in the customer car park outside the Next store.
Stars from the Sheffield Wednesday squad including Giles Coke, plus mascots Ozzie and Barney Owls will also be stopping by throughout the week to surprise participants.
